Jodie Foster Reportedly in Talks to Star in Y: The Last Man TV Show

Jodie Foster has not been entirely kind in her comments on comic book films, but then again Y: The Last Man is no ordinary comic. The Vertigo title, created by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, is wildly original and is on track to be adapted, not as a movie but as an FX television series.

According to The Hashtag Show, Foster is in talks with the network to star as Jennifer Brown, U.S. Representative and mother or Yorick Brown, the titular Y. This marks a big move for foster, who as noted above has abstained from comics fare and who hasn't had a regular television role since 1974's Paper Moon.

The pilot for Y: The Last Man, set to begin production in July, will be directed by Melina Matsoukas
