Life Imitates Art: Heinz Accepts Don Draper's Pitch, 50 Years Later

One of these Mad Men advertising pitches has been adopted by Heinz Ketchup.

Reality and TV are basically blending into one, so why not follow the advice of Don Draper, and Pass the Heinz? 

"Pass the Heinz" was an advertising slogan that was pitched, and rejected, on a Season 6 episode of Mad Men, a fictional show that takes in the 1960s. Here in the real world, in 2017, Heinz knows a good thing when they see it. 

Heinz tells Deadline that they have "selected the ‘Pass the Heinz’ campaign after an agency review because it is clever, modern and doesn’t require paragraphs of copy to convey what Heinz brings to the table.”
